What a month August was...

My adorable baby turned 1 year old on August 9th. It was so much fun! She's not a baby anymore! My mom came up to visit before Penny's birthday so she could spend some time with us. It was so nice to have her around again. She hadn't seen Penny since the end of April so a lot of time had passed.

Penny wore this super cute outfit that Chris' grandma Moulton sent her for her birthday.

She was already tired of pictures and we hadn't even started!

Chris was working nights so he had to be to work in only an hour and a half. We didn't have any time to really do anything special so we took Penny to McDonald's. She had her first chicken nuggets and drank some milk. She liked the nuggets a lot.

This is Penny opening her first present. She really enjoyed unwrapping things.

We got her some YoGabbaGabba bath toys and individually wrapped them. She also got a little toy piano.

They always go right to the mouth!

We ran into the store really quickly to buy some milk and this is how Penny was sitting in the cart. She loves to sit that way now!

She went and sat in the corner all by herself.

We truly had a fun day! We had a big party planned for the following Saturday so her actual birthday was pretty low key. It was nice to spend her birthday with my mom. We were also able to Skype with Kim and Linda so they could see her on her actual birthday. I am so in love with my daughter and I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Penny, your parents love you and are so proud of you!
